Meldie Moore received her law degree from Pepperdine University School of Law in 1994 and obtained a masters in law at Chapman University School of Law in 2009.

Passion for public service, and a desire to help women and children, led Meldie to a career in the Orange County District Attorney’s Office where she was a prosecutor for 16 years. During that time, Meldie completed over 100 criminal trials and hundreds of preliminary hearings on felony cases. Meldie also worked as an adjunct professor at Western State Law School in 2004-2005 where she taught legal research and writing and domestic violence classes. In 2010, Meldie left the District Attorney’s office and with a partner opened Gurwitz Moore, LLP to serve children and families needing advocacy in special education matters. In 2012, Meldie opened her own practice Moore Law, specializing in family formation and education. The family formation side of the practice encompasses assisted reproductive technology (ART) law and domestic adoptions. The education practice includes special education and school discipline matters. In 2016, Meldie incorporated Moore Law for Children, and added additional attorneys assisting on adoption and special education matters. The firm has expanded to assist families with family law and estate planning. The firm prides itself on providing compassionate, competent and committed representation to children and families.
